| The first report for the 11th new moon of the year came from the region of Colombo, Sri Lanka on Thursday evening, January 18th followed by Garu Bawku, Ghana and points westward.
For Israel-based observers, the 11th new moon was also sighted in Israel on Thursday evening, January 18th by Mark Harris and confirmed in Poriya Ilit by Becca Biderman.
